1. About this policy
This policy explains browser storage used by Guangzhou Carbon Link Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd on carbonlinksci.com. Cookies are one form of browser storage; this website also uses local storage to remember privacy choices.
2. Privacy preference storage
Name: a site-specific local-storage key beginning with carbonlink-consent:
Type: browser local storage, set by this website.
Purpose: remember whether optional ad measurement were accepted or rejected, together with the preference version and expiry time.
Contents: choice, version and expiry; it does not contain the name, email address or requirements entered in an inquiry.
Validity: 180 days after saving a choice. Local storage does not automatically expire like a cookie: the website checks the stored expiry and removes an expired record when it next reads it. Data may remain on an unused device until the site reads it or you clear site storage.
A changed preference version may require a new choice before optional ad measurement can run. Clearing browser storage also removes the saved preference.
3. Optional Google Ads measurement
If you choose Allow ad measurement, the website loads the Google tag for Google Ads (AW-16595517170). It measures successful inquiry submissions, clicks on email and WhatsApp links, and successful use of the Copy email button. The tag is not loaded before permission, and continued browsing is not permission. General-purpose Google Analytics and enhanced conversions are not enabled by this integration.
Google may set advertising measurement cookies on this site and use cookies from Google domains. Google's documentation describes _gcl_ measurement cookies as lasting 90 days. Cookie names and actual lifetimes depend on browser restrictions and the Google service. See the current provider list at https://business.safety.google/adscookies/ and https://policies.google.com/technologies/cookies. Google determines retention of information received by its services; a cookie lifetime is not the retention period of all measurement data.
After an allowed inquiry conversion, this site stores up to 100 random inquiry references in session storage under carbonlink-ads-inquiries-v1 to avoid repeated reporting within the browser tab. It contains no inquiry name, contact details or message. Session storage normally lasts for the page session, subject to the browser's session restoration behavior. Google also receives the reference as a conversion deduplication identifier.
4. Login and other storage
Staff who access the administration area may encounter authentication and settings storage that is separate from ordinary visitor browsing. These are first-party WordPress functions on this website.
WordPress uses cookies with wordpress_ and wordpress_logged_in_ prefixes to maintain staff sign-in, and wp-settings- and wp-settings-time- cookies to remember staff interface preferences. A wordpress_test_cookie may be used on the login page to check cookie support. Login duration depends on the sign-in options and site settings. Settings cookies are configured to last one year. The editor can also store staff preferences in local storage under a WP_PREFERENCES_USER_ key, which may remain until removed. WordPress uses the wpEmojiSettingsSupports session-storage key to cache browser emoji-support checks. Clearing browser storage may remove these settings or sign staff out.
5. Changing your choice
Use Privacy preferences to reopen the controls. You can reject ad measurement or withdraw a previous choice. This stops our subsequent conversion events and updates Google's consent state. The tag is not loaded on future pages without permission. It cannot recall information already received or unload code that has already run. Existing cookies can be removed using your browser settings.
If your browser prevents the preference from being saved, the website displays a message and keeps optional ad measurement off on that page. Your choice may not persist across visits when storage is unavailable. You can also manage or clear site data through your browser settings; clearing login storage may sign staff out.
Rejecting optional ad measurement does not block an inquiry. The inquiry-processing acknowledgement on the form is a separate control.

Cell-separation landing page preferences
The cell-separation landing page keeps a separate measurement preference using the site's existing carbonlink-consent local-storage key with a :cell suffix. It stores the choice, preference version and expiry time for up to 180 days, subject to the existing expiry handling described above. A separate choice covers the landing page's first-party event measurement and, when enabled, Google Ads measurement. You can reject or withdraw through the page's Privacy preferences control. The first-party event collector does not add a persistent visitor cookie or a separate browser visitor identifier. Campaign identifiers included in an inquiry are described in the Privacy Policy.
